Revenue Tax Auditor Manager

Responsibilities
The Revenue Tax Auditor Manager (RTAM) position is responsible for the Supervision of a team of Revenue Tax Auditor Specialist (RTAS) located within the State of Louisiana
This position is directly responsible for identifying, directing and coordinating audit leads and developing training initiatives in Corporate Income Franchise Tax and Individual Income Tax
Conducts pre-audit investigations, including receiving and reviewing preliminary information, before assigning field audits
Review audit methods and procedures to disclose efficiencies that can increase audit coverage and production
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and legislation and disseminate technical information
Assemble information and develop procedures regarding new and/or unusual tax issues
Qualification
Required
Eight years of experience in tax accounting or tax auditing
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus five years of experience in tax accounting or tax auditing
A bachelor's degree with twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus five years of experience in tax accounting or tax auditing
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, or statistics plus five years of experience in tax accounting or tax auditing
An advanced degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, quantitative methods, or statistics, or a Juris Doctorate, plus four years of experience in tax accounting or tax auditing
Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or a current Louisiana license to practice law plus three years of experience in tax accounting or tax auditing
