Frederick County Government is seeking a Seasonal Parks Maintenance Technician to perform routine manual work in parks maintenance and custodial tasks. The role involves responsibilities such as mowing grass, litter pick-up, and general grounds maintenance.

Required

Minimum 16 years of age at time of hire

Possession of a valid automobile operator's license (for age 17 years and older) with the ability to obtain and maintain a Frederick County Employee Driving Permit

Ability to operate and care for assigned tools and equipment in a safe and effective manner

Effective spoken and written (English) communication skills, including the ability to accurately complete inventory forms and other paperwork

Available for other varied days and hours as assigned, including weekends and holidays

Persons under 18 years of age must obtain a work permit before being placed in this job classification

Preferred

Age 17 years and older for vehicle operation duties

Previous grounds maintenance work experience
