PART-TIME PROGRAM ASSISTANT- Cooperative Extension

Responsibilities

Must possess excellent customer service skills and have the ability to work independently to plan their work. Must be able to work with children and youth
Will plan and implement the above programs with assistance from agents
Purchases and/or prepares supplies and/or other required materials and equipment
Creates documents, spreadsheets, reports, and presentations with Canva, Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint. Creates and modifies forms for office use in tracking and statistical quantifying activities

Required

Must possess excellent customer service skills
Ability to work independently to plan their work
Must be able to work with children and youth
Skills in word processing and relevant computer applications/technology
Ability to learn youth agriculture programs and STEM material
Ability to communicate effectively and work with a variety of people and programs
Ability to prioritize work and respond to clientele's needs
Graduation from high school or equivalent
Working knowledge of various Microsoft Office processing applications or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Must be able to pass an extensive background check
Requires the ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Requires the ability to maintain body equilibrium when bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, reaching and/or stretching arms, legs or other body parts
Ability to physically maneuver upon varying terrain, surfaces or physical structures
Must be a US citizen or legal alien authorized to maintain employment in the United States
Willingness to work during natural disaster events like hurricanes or snow storms
Valid North Carolina Driver's License
