Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including both the interior and exterior perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues
Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols
Communicate clearly and promptly with team members, site personnel, and/or emergency responders as needed
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials according to site guidelines
Support the enforcement of client policies and procedures throughout the location
Remain alert to potential security-related hazards or suspicious activities and report findings according to established protocols
Qualification
Required
A valid New York State Security Guard License is required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
