Assistant Director, Network Services
Pitt Community College is seeking a dedicated and experienced IT professional for the Assistant Director of Network Services position. This role involves overseeing the management and maintenance of the college's network infrastructure while ensuring compliance with information security standards and collaborating with IT leadership to support the college's mission.

Responsibilities
Oversee the management and maintenance of wired and wireless network infrastructure
Manage and maintain telephony systems and related infrastructure
Ensure the security of network infrastructure, including implementation of next-generation firewalls
Maintain compliance with information security standards (PCI, GLBA, CIS Controls IG 1, NIST, HIPAA)
Supervise, mentor, and provide professional development for network services staff
Collaborate with IT staff to troubleshoot and resolve network issues while improving overall performance
Develop and implement network policies and procedures to enhance reliability and security
Contribute to the development of Business Continuity and Incident Response plans
Monitor network performance, respond to incidents, and proactively mitigate risks
Lead planning and implementation of network-related projects and upgrades
Maintain accurate documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and processes
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or a closely related field
Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including wired/wireless networks, telephony systems, and network security
Familiarity with information security standards (PCI, GLBA, CIS Controls IG 1, NIST, HIPAA)
Proven ability to manage and mentor technical staff
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
