Senior Utilities Maintenance Mechanic
NEOGOV is seeking a Senior Utilities Maintenance Mechanic for the City of Titusville. This role involves skilled mechanical work in the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment at municipal water/wastewater plants and pumping stations, requiring independent judgment and basic electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities
Inspect and test equipment and machinery to assess operating condition and identify necessary repairs
Determine required materials and equipment for repairs/maintenance and perform necessary repairs
Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems
Disassemble and fully rebuild pumps, gearboxes, mixers, small engines, and other equipment
Perform preventative maintenance at appropriate intervals
Thread, cut, and fit pipes as needed
Perform welding, burning, and fabrication operations as required
Purchase necessary supplies and repair parts, with supervisor approval
Prepare logs/records of maintenance performed and inventory of supplies used
Direct the work of other Utility Maintenance Mechanics as assigned by supervision
Train other Utility Maintenance Mechanics as required
Perform related tasks as needed
Qualification
Required
High school graduate or equivalent diploma is required
Three years' journeyman level experience in mechanical equipment repair and maintenance is required
Possession of a valid Florida Operator's or CDL license with an acceptable driving record, depending on assignment
Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic electrical repairs is required
Must possess or obtain one or a combination of the following certifications within 2 years of hire: 'C' Water Distribution Technician, 'C' Wastewater Collection Technician certification, 'C' Water or Wastewater Operators Certification from the State of Florida, or Florida Water Pollution Control Operators Association (FWPCOA) Utilities Maintenance Mechanic Level III and Level II Certifications
