Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of project development, including site identification, feasibility analysis, permitting, and interconnection processes
Manage project schedules, budgets, and development milestones to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, finance, legal, construction) and external stakeholders (landowners, regulators, utilities, consultants)
Conduct due diligence and risk assessments to evaluate project viability and compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements
Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and proposals for management, partners, and investors
Build and maintain relationships with local communities, government agencies, and industry stakeholders
Support power offtake strategy, including RFP responses and bilateral PPA negotiations
Monitor policy, regulatory, and market developments relevant to project development in North Carolina and neighboring markets
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy, or related field
5+ years of experience in project development within the energy sector (renewables, natural gas, or related industries)
Proven track record of advancing projects from concept to construction
Knowledge of U.S. power markets, particularly PJM and/or Southeast markets
Strong understanding of permitting, interconnection, and regulatory processes
Excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously
Willingness to travel within North Carolina and the broader region as required
Preferred
Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy, or related field
