Co-op-Engineering

The role involves working closely with Manufacturing Engineers and other teams to contribute to various engineering projects and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Updating and maintaining drawings/prints
Reporting out findings and next steps on assigned projects
Developing support tooling/equipment to manufacturing processes
Troubleshooting equipment, compiling and analyzing data to drive process improvements
Writing work instructions
Supporting full time manufacturing engineers
Supporting production supervision
Supporting rubber engineering manager
Researching and pursuing opportunities for cost reduction and profit improvement for the plant through the use of Lean Manufacturing principles

Required

Must be able to work independently and in a team-based environment
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred

Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited institution
Other Engineering or Technology disciplines would be considered
