Responsibilities
Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location
Conduct access control activities including verifying identification, reviewing visitor authorization, issuing temporary credentials when applicable, and directing guests to designated areas
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, fire alarms, suspicious activity, and facility notifications
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations
Monitor entry points, restricted areas, and high-value locations for unusual conditions, open doors, unsecured equipment, and/or other concerns, and report findings per post orders
Operate and/or monitor security-related equipment such as radios, surveillance systems, access control panels, and intrusion alarms, and escalate issues when needed
Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, documenting observations, actions taken, and notifications made in accordance with site procedures
Communicate clearly with site leadership, Allied Universal supervision, and/or local responders as directed, providing accurate information and timely updates
Support key control and asset accountability processes as assigned, including tracking issuance and return of keys and access devices
Follow all site rules related to controlled areas, prohibited items, and information handling, and report potential compliance concerns through the proper channels
Qualification
Required
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to obtain and retain a secret clearance
A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
