Responsibilities
Greet and assist employees, visitors, and/or contractors at the front desk, providing a professional and courteous presence at the utilities location
Monitor access to the facility by verifying identification and credentials, following site-specific policies and procedures
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by the site
Assist with emergency response activities as directed, communicating with appropriate personnel and following established procedures
Support the overall security-related operations of the utilities location by helping to deter unauthorized access and reporting suspicious activity
Provide excellent customer service to all individuals entering or leaving the facility, answering questions and assisting as needed
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
A guard card or license is preferred
Access control or badge experience is preferred
