Risk Specialist
Dexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions. They are seeking a customer-focused Risk Specialist to handle complex inquiries, conduct investigations, and make risk-based decisions to mitigate fraud while maintaining customer experience.
Responsibilities
Handle 50+ complex inbound inquiries daily, supporting merchants with fraud alerts, account reviews, and financial discrepancies
Conduct in-depth investigations by analyzing transaction data, customer information, and risk signals
Make real-time risk-based decisions to mitigate fraud while balancing customer experience
Serve as a calm, empathetic voice for merchants during high-stress situations, including account holds and escalations
Clearly explain findings, next steps, and resolutions to customers over the phone
Maintain accurate, detailed documentation in line with internal SOPs and compliance requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify emerging fraud trends and suggest process improvements
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in a call center or contact center environment within: Fraud prevention, Financial risk management, Payments / merchant services, Banking or fintech operations
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to efficiently navigate multiple systems and tools simultaneously
Experience with G-Suite and CRM/risk tools such as Salesforce, LexisNexis, or fraud platforms
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Criminal Justice, or Risk Management
Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification is a plus
