Responsibilities
Develop machining process, analyze customer drawings/requirements to determine best machining practices
Determine and Design fixture, gaging, and special tooling (cutters, drills, taps) requirements
Outline/rough draft tooling/fixture requirements. Formulate and implement gage calibration and inspection report system
Review with manufacturing, programming, and quality departments to ensure efficient production methods
Research/confer with outside vendors to determine if any new tooling is available to increase efficiency of machining operations
Analyze space requirements, workflow, machine layout, and workspace for manufacturing efficiency
Plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing process planning and inspection reports for all orders
Coordinate all paperwork such as certifications, process control sheets, inspection reports and job closeouts
Daily meetings with Production Control to ensure all tooling and process documentation are correct for operators
Troubleshoot various processes and disposition deviant material
Periodically perform engineering CAD work using SolidWorks or Inventor
Qualification
Required
5+ years of manufacturing experience in a machining environment
Experience working in an ISO9001/ AS9100C environment
Hands-on experience with CAD software; Solidworks preferred
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, people oriented environment
BS Degree in Engineering discipline
