Security Officer - Commercial Plaza Patrol Driver

Responsibilities
Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, alarms, disturbances, and/or suspicious activity
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the property, including parking areas, common areas, stairwells, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns
Monitor and operate security-related systems and equipment as assigned, such as CCTV, intrusion alarms, fire panels, and/or access control systems, and report irregular conditions per site procedures
Control access at designated entrances, loading areas, and/or garage gates by verifying credentials, following visitor management procedures, and maintaining orderly entry and exit flow
Document daily activities, patrol results, incidents, and/or policy violations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts
Provide direction and assistance during property events, deliveries, and/or tenant move-ins and move-outs, including coordinating with property management and responding to requests for service
Perform building checks such as verifying doors are secured, lights are functioning, and restricted areas are not accessed, escalating issues to the appropriate point of contact
Interact with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when needed, preserving scene details, relaying observations, and following site-specific reporting requirements
Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific policies, including professionalism standards, radio protocol, and post orders, while maintaining a customer-focused presence during all assigned shifts
Qualification
Required
Have at least 2 years of security-related experience
Be at least 21 years of age
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Access control and badge experience is preferred
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
