Responsibilities
Conducts site visits to assess requests and respond to situations where maintenance or repair of public infrastructures may need to be performed
Respond to situations where maintenance or repair of public infrastructures may need to be performed, frequently lifting and carrying equipment weighing 25 pounds
Determines ownership and responsibility for areas in need of maintenance or repair
Determines type of maintenance or repair to be completed
Ensures compliance with safety and equipment standards, standard operating procedures and service level agreements
Coordinates with appropriate personnel for maintenance and repairs
Plans, coordinates, and controls work zone traffic
Prepares reports and maintains necessary records of work scheduled and performed
May have to perform minor maintenance and repairs when applicable
Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency)
Three (3) years of experience in field construction and maintenance
Valid Class 'C' Texas Driver's License
Preferred
Experience with customer service
Experience using SAP
Experience with ARC GIS
Experience with computer software applications
Experience with property plats
Experience cross referencing and tracking work orders
Ability to attend community and council meetings during regular business and/or evening hours and present department presentations, schedule updates, or any additional needed information to the public
