Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and data models for a Pimcore-based MDM platform
Build and optimize PHP applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and data integrity
Design and implement REST/JSON APIs to support downstream systems and automation workflows
Work with complex data structures, entity relationships, and lifecycle management
Contribute to platform architecture, technical design decisions, and coding standards
Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and enforce best engineering practices
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Troubleshoot production issues and participate in ongoing platform optimization and enhancements
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional experience in PHP development
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Advanced proficiency in PHP and frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
Experience with Pimcore or similar content/data management platforms
Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB)
Experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Hands-on experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
Solid understanding of web security best practices
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and performance-tuning skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
Preferred
Experience with Kafka, OpenSearch, or graph databases
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps workflows
Experience contributing to solution architecture and platform modernization initiatives
