Responsibilities
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment within the healthcare location
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior
Observe and report any unusual conditions or incidents encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel
Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general information as needed
Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns specific to the location
Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations during assigned shifts
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting
Applicants must provide proof of required hospital vaccines
Applicants must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience
Applicants must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field
Applicants must have at least 5 years of security-related experience
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
