Responsibilities
Recruit, train, and supervise animal shelter volunteers
Form working relationships with rescue and foster organizations
Act as a liaison between animal shelter staff and volunteers
Plan, develop, and publicize programs for use of volunteers
Coordinate adoption events and animal services programs in the community
Determine volunteer service requirements and coordinate with available volunteer resources
Document program activities
Monitor and evaluate program outcomes
Write grants and secure funds for volunteer program
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalency and bachelor's degree required, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
Three to five years of relevant work experience in volunteer-related public relations or marketing/outreach experience required
Two years of experience may be substituted for every one year of college education
Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Operator's Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
