Responsibilities
Performing professional nursing activities in the care of residents
Delegating aspects of care delivery to nursing assistants as appropriate
Assisting in the completing of performance evaluations for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Certified Medication Assistants (CMA)
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in nursing with zero to six months of relevant prior experience for RN
High school plus Technical diploma in practical nursing and zero to six months of relevant prior experience for LPN
Proven experience in ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry as well as ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations for RN
Proven experience in ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions and percentages as well as ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts to calculate area, circumference, volume, and/or land measure for LPN
Proven experience with medical terminology for both RN and LPN
Wisconsin Registered Nurse license through WI Department of Safety and Professional Services for RN
Wisconsin Licensed Practical Nurse license through WI Department of Safety and Professional Services for LPN
Current BLS CPR certification required within 30 days of start date for both RN and LPN
Criminal background check free of convictions of abuse of individuals or misappropriation of property while in a formal caretaking setting for both RN and LPN
All staff of Lakeland Health Care Center may be called upon to respond to emergency situations assisting residents in their physical positioning for both RN and LPN
All employees may be required to work overtime as determined by the department head for both RN and LPN
Preferred
Experience in restorative nursing, long-term care, psychiatric nursing, medical nursing or geriatric nursing
