Responsibilities
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address issues as they arise
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and observe for unusual conditions, with working environments and conditions varying by location
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive activity and provide reassurance to staff and visitors
Document incidents and observations in a timely and accurate manner, following Allied Universal protocols and client requirements
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents or critical situations
Carry and responsibly handle authorized firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site-specific requirements
Qualification
Required
Possess an armed guard card or license
Be at least 21 years of age
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
A guard card or license is preferred
A valid firearms permit is preferred
Baton permit is preferred
