Responsibilities
Serve as primary client contact and maintain strong client relationships
Identify new project opportunities, add-on services, and cross-disciplinary work
Support business development efforts, including proposals, RFQs, and presentations
Participate in go/no-go evaluations and proposal strategy, budgeting, and scheduling
Lead project planning, including work plans, staffing, budgets, schedules, and QA/QC
Oversee subconsultants and coordinate with internal technical and support teams
Review contracts, manage risk, and ensure compliance with insurance and documentation requirements
Monitor project financial performance, job costs, and billing; initiate corrective actions as needed
Manage change orders and ensure timely invoicing and receivables
Maintain project documentation per company policy
Attend client meetings, public hearings, and industry events as needed
Support continuous improvement of departmental processes and procedures
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience in civil site design and land development project delivery
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience supporting development projects through local or municipal review/approval processes
Strong client relationship management and business development abilities
Demonstrated success leading projects, managing budgets, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
Good understanding of project risk management and dispute avoidance practices
