Responsibilities
Design, implement, and optimize a hybrid multi-cloud network architecture spanning AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments
Lead SD-WAN implementation and expansion using Fortinet SD-WAN, including:
Policy-based routing
Application-aware traffic steering
High availability and failover
Integration with security controls
Architect and execute large-scale migrations from on-prem to hybrid cloud (e.g., ~60 on-prem locations)
Design and manage LAN and WAN routing, including:
BGP, static routing, route propagation
IP addressing strategy and subnet design
Traffic segmentation and network isolation
Build and maintain cloud-native networking in AWS and Azure:
VPCs / VNets, subnets, route tables
Gateways, load balancers, VPNs
Hybrid connectivity (site-to-site VPN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect where applicable)
Ensure network security, resiliency, and performance across all environments
Troubleshoot complex connectivity issues across on-prem, SD-WAN, and cloud
Partner closely with cloud architects, security teams, and application teams
Provide technical leadership, documentation, and best practices for ongoing operations
Qualification
Required
8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
Strong hands-on SD-WAN experience, specifically Fortinet SD-WAN
Proven experience delivering hybrid cloud networking across AWS and Azure
Deep knowledge of: LAN/WAN routing (BGP, static routing, NAT)
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
Network segmentation and security controls
Experience leading or executing large on-prem to hybrid migrations (50+ sites preferred)
Strong troubleshooting skills across multi-domain environments
Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex initiatives
Preferred
Cloud networking certifications (AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer)
Experience with: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Zero Trust or network segmentation strategies
Multi-cloud connectivity patterns
Prior experience in highly regulated or large enterprise environments
