Responsibilities
Lead the transition and modernization of legacy data platforms into a modern Iceberg Lakehouse architecture using Google BigQuery
Design scalable data movement patterns using Airflow, Kafka, and Flink to ensure real-time and batch data processing efficiency
Implement and manage complex business rules and decision-making frameworks utilizing IBM ODM
Architect solutions that adhere to HL7-FHIR standards, ensuring seamless integration with healthcare workflows and member engagement systems
Direct cross-functional teams and mentor senior engineers in best practices for SQL optimization, data modeling, and containerized application management on GKE
Qualification
Required
10+ years of total experience in data engineering and architecture
5+ years specifically in enterprise data architecture and platform modernization
7+ years as a Senior Solution Architect or Principal Engineer focused on data movement
Expert proficiency in R and R-Shiny for analytics development
Hands-on mastery of Airflow, Kafka, Flink, Iceberg Lakehouse, and DBT
Deep domain expertise in Healthcare (HL7-FHIR, member engagement)
Preferred
Certifications in Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer or Cloud Architect
Experience with advanced ML/AI model deployment within a healthcare context
