Responsibilities
Receiving referrals to youth court
Making preliminary inquiries regarding the best interest of children and families referred to youth court
Making determinations as to youth court intake
Collaborating with youth court intake units and other youth court partners
Timely reporting all youth court data collected to the youth court intake supervisor
Conducting screenings and assessments
Communicating with parties to youth court matters
Facilitating emergency hearings
Documenting all relevant activities, actions taken, and contacts involved with a referral
Ensuring the accuracy and timely entry of youth court intake data
Additional duties may be assigned as needed
Qualification
Required
An applicant would need to be able to be flexible with common Microsoft tools such as Outlook, Outlook Calendar, Excel, Word, in addition to court case management systems
They would need to be able to use certain hardware types, such as a scanner and printer
Preferred
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years of experience
Appointing authority may require a social worker's license
Agency Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, one (1) year of experience in child welfare, juvenile justice, or education
