Responsibilities
Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare location
Monitor and control access to the facility, checking identification and credentials as required
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity
Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general information as needed
Document and report any security-related incidents or unusual observations to the appropriate personnel
Support emergency response activities when appropriate and assist with building evacuations or lockdowns as directed
Qualification
Required
Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Comfortable using a computer or tablet
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds
