3+ years expNEOGOV is seeking a highly motivated and creative Information Technology Generalist 1 to join the Department of Corrections at the State Correctional Institution Waymart. This role will serve as the facility’s primary support for all information technology needs, ensuring the effective operation of both networked and standalone systems.

Responsibilities
Providing a broad range of support for all Information Technology related hardware, software and systems within the facility (both networked and stand alone)
Performing systems administration, installing and maintaining computer and network related equipment and software, providing technical assistance to users, troubleshooting information technology problems, performing liaison duties, staying abreast of current technology, maintaining software applications for facility use, managing information technology related equipment and supplies and performing related duties and special assignments
Qualification
Required
Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or
One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
