Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive media relations strategies that align with our overall communications objectives
Craft and deliver compelling pitches to journalists and media outlets across various platforms
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers
Monitor media coverage and analyze trends to inform future media relations efforts
Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other press materials
Assist in the development and execution of crisis communications plans as needed
Coordinate and manage media events, including press conferences and interviews
Provide media training to spokespeople within the organization

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
2+ years of experience in media relations or a similar role, with a demonstrated track record of securing media coverage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling pitches and build relationships with journalists
Deep understanding of the media landscape and the ability to identify and target key media outlets
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond effectively to unexpected situations
