Spanish: Lecturer - Fall 2026

Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) is dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience to its students and is seeking applicants for a Lecturer position in Spanish beginning August 1, 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to teach lower- and upper-division courses in Spanish language and culture and actively participate in student engagement and service to the college and community.

Teach a 5/5 load of lower- and upper-division courses in Spanish language and culture
Actively participate in extensive student engagement and service to the college and community
Advising and mentoring students

Required

Master's degree in the teaching discipline; or a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester credits in the teaching discipline. (or 30 quarterly graduate credits)

Preferred

Preference may be given to those with a terminal degree in the teaching discipline
Preference may be given to those with experience teaching college level Spanish
Preference may be given to those with experience teaching Spanish for the professions, including Medical Spanish, Business Spanish, and/or Legal Spanish
Preference may be given to those with established research credentials
Native or near-native fluency
Preference may be given to those who can contribute to the French language program as well
