Outside Sales Representative
Herk & Associates is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to grow and manage business within the Birmingham, Alabama market. This field-based sales role focuses on developing customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and driving revenue growth within an established territory.
Responsibilities
Develop and grow an assigned territory through new business development and ongoing account management
Build strong relationships with customers, prospects, and key decision-makers
Conduct in-person customer visits, needs assessments, and solution-based sales presentations
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
Maintain accurate records of customer activity, opportunities, and forecasts
Stay informed on market conditions, customer needs, and competitive activity
Collaborate with internal teams to support customer satisfaction and long-term account growth
Qualification
Required
Previous outside sales experience
Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently in the field
Ability to manage a territory and prioritize customer activity effectively
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally within the territory
Preferred
