Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including handling disturbances, suspicious activity, and patient or visitor concerns
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions
Monitor access points and interior areas, helping to manage visitor flow and assist with wayfinding while maintaining a professional presence
Support de-escalation and conflict resolution efforts, using clear communication and requesting additional assistance when needed
Observe and report fire and life response-related concerns such as blocked corridors, malfunctioning doors, or alarm conditions, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel
Complete detailed written reports and log entries regarding incidents, patrol findings, and policy exceptions, following Allied Universal documentation standards
Coordinate with nursing units, facilities teams, and local responders during incidents, including escorts and controlled access to restricted areas when directed by site policy
Operate site equipment as assigned, which may include radio communications, access control tools, and/or CCTV monitoring, reporting irregularities to supervision
Follow confidentiality expectations for patient-related information encountered during duties, sharing details only with authorized personnel as required for the role

Required

Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
