Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders
Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, parking lots, perimeter fencing, trailer yards and dock areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations
Monitor access points and control entry for employees, contractors and visitors, including verifying identification and/or authorization per site procedures
Perform vehicle and/or driver check-in and check-out activities for delivery and pickup operations as directed, including logging arrivals, departures and assigned dock or yard locations
Observe and report unusual conditions such as damaged doors, broken seals, unsecured gates, unauthorized parking and/or suspicious behavior, escalating concerns through the approved chain of command
Use CCTV and/or other site systems when available to observe activity and document security-related events in accordance with site policy
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports and shift pass-downs, including documenting patrols, access control activity and significant events
Assist with key and/or badge control processes as assigned, including issuance, recovery and documentation per site requirements
Support client operations during special circumstances such as weather events, power interruptions and/or high-volume shipping periods by following post orders and coordinating with site contacts
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
