Responsibilities
Assist with and eventually lead project management activities for SCADA and automation projects
Coordination between customers, internal project managers, programmers, and field technicians
Track schedules, deliverables, and project documentation
Provide technical support to project teams during design, implementation, and startup
Prepare and assist with quotations for SCADA systems and control panels for water and wastewater facilities
Develop bills of material and review system specifications and drawings
Work with vendors and manufacturers to obtain pricing and lead times
Order control system hardware, instrumentation, panels, and software
Track equipment deliveries and coordination with project schedules
Maintain organized project files and purchasing records
Serve as a technical liaison between project managers and programmers
Review system architecture, I/O lists, network layouts, and control strategies
Assist with troubleshooting and customer support as needed
Work closely with senior staff to learn existing systems, standards, and procedures
Gradually assume ownership of ongoing project responsibilities
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, industrial projects, or related field
Ability to read electrical drawings, P&IDs, and control system documentation
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working with customers, vendors, and internal technical teams
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
Experience in automation, controls engineering, SCADA systems, or industrial system integration
Familiarity with water and wastewater treatment or municipal infrastructure
Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA platforms (Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk, or similar)
