Optomi, in partnership with a global client, is looking to build out the GRC team by hiring a junior or mid-level controls tester. The IT Controls Tester will support ongoing controls testing and compliance initiatives, evaluating the integrity, design, and effectiveness of IT controls across the organization.

Responsibilities

Execute IT controls testing to assess control design and operating effectiveness
Review and validate evidence to support control performance
Identify control gaps and document findings clearly and accurately
Provide actionable recommendations to support remediation efforts
Collaborate remotely with team members to resolve issues and improve controls
Maintain clear documentation of testing procedures, results, and conclusions
Perform daily work using a VDI environment
Support ongoing compliance and audit-readiness initiatives

Required

5-7 years of experience in IT controls testing, GRC, IT audit, or compliance
Proven, hands-on experience executing controls testing
Familiarity with common compliance and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOC, internal control programs)
Experience reviewing evidence and identifying control gaps
Strong documentation and written communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Comfortable collaborating across time zones (EST preferred)
Experience working within a VDI (virtual desktop infrastructure)
