Responsibilities

Maintenance and repairs in life safety, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems
Fire alarm testing and maintenance
Fire suppression testing and maintenance (fire sprinklers, stand pipes, fire extinguishers)
Lead team workflow, guide safety policies and procedures, and assist staff with operational procedures
Install and maintain plumbing, electrical, and mechanical fixtures; repair air conditioning, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, gates, and hydrants
Perform preventative maintenance and repair on all types of mechanical equipment
Emergency lighting testing
Minor appliance repairs
Develop solutions to repair and maintenance issues
Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and sketches

Qualification

Required

Completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade and one year of experience as a journey-level worker in building and equipment maintenance, construction, or repair work
A Nicet Level 2 Fire Alarm Systems certification
