Responsibilities
Support accurate and timely payroll processing
Participate in payroll system setup, configuration, testing, and validation
Assist with payroll system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements
Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to gather payroll and system requirements
Perform parallel testing and support issue resolution
Help document payroll processes, controls, and procedures
Support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Provide ongoing payroll system support and troubleshooting
Qualification
Required
3+ years of payroll experience (multi-state preferred)
Strong understanding of payroll fundamentals, taxes, and wage & hour compliance
Experience working with payroll systems (ADP, Paychex, UKG, Workday, or similar)
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Willingness and ability to learn payroll system implementation concepts
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred
Exposure to payroll implementations, conversions, or upgrades (in any capacity)
Experience with system testing or data validation
HRIS or time & attendance system experience
Process improvement or documentation experience
