Responsibilities
Partner with the RISE Board and leadership team to develop and implement an annual fundraising plan
Assist in coordinating annual fundraising events (e.g., “Have a Heart” Gala, and smaller donor gatherings)
Research and draft grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government sources
Maintain donor database (via Little Green Light or similar platform), ensuring accurate tracking of gifts, pledges, and acknowledgments
Prepare donor communications, impact reports, and stewardship materials
Create opportunities for board members or staff to speak at organizations
Build and strengthen relationships with community partners, local businesses, and civic organizations
Represent RISE at community events, school functions, and networking opportunities
Develop outreach materials to increase awareness of RISE’s mission and programs
Collaborate with RISE program staff to share student success stories and program outcomes
Work with our Mentor Center manager to create engaging donor and community updates for newsletters, social media, and the website
Support RISE’s storytelling efforts by highlighting the voices of students, tutors, mentors, and teachers
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, marketing, or community outreach
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
Demonstrated success building relationships with donors and community partners
Passion for education, youth development, and equity in opportunity
Proficiency with Google Suite
Preferred
Experience planning events is a plus
Familiarity with donor management software preferred
