Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Receive and dispatch calls for service, alarms, and security-related notifications, coordinating response per site procedures for a utilities location
Monitor alarm panels, communications systems, and other monitoring tools, and communicate status updates to appropriate personnel using phone, radio, and/or other approved channels
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services when required by procedure
Document dispatch activity, incident details, and shift events in written reports and electronic logs in a timely manner
Support access control operations by verifying authorization, processing visitor and contractor entries per policy, and reporting irregularities
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site
Assist with coordinating site notifications, work order impacts, and utility operations-related communications as directed by site-specific policy
Participate in briefings, post orders review, and required training to remain familiar with site layouts, response protocols, and communications expectations

Qualification

Law enforcement experienceMilitary experienceSecurity experienceCPR certificationCustomer serviceComputer proficiency

Required

Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience OR a college degree
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only

Preferred

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet
Have customer service experience
Have CPR certification, preferred, and it may be completed post hire
