Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day custodial care of buildings, offices and facilities at assigned locations according to established schedules
Wash windows, walls, tables, desks and benches; polish metal work; clean chalk boards; dust and clean furniture and polish wood work; sweep, scrub, mop and wax floors; vacuum and shampoo carpeted areas
Clean and sanitize rest rooms; wash sinks, mirrors and toilets; empty trash receptacles; refill soap, towel and other dispensers
Move, set up and arrange furniture and equipment as requested. Ensure windows, doors and gates are locked and report incidents of vandalism and theft
Communicate with administrators and faculty regarding special custodial needs and security of facilities; maintain routine records related to work performed; request supplies and cleaning materials according to established procedures
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution
One (1) year of relevant experience
Valid Texas State Driver's License
Ability to lift and safely move tables and chairs for setup and breakdown of facilities
Ability to provide general facility logistics support to constituents during reservations
Knowledge of how to operate and maintain general building equipment
Knowledge in the methods of modern cleaning, materials and equipment used in custodial work
