Entry, Mid LevelOptomi, in partnership with a leading utility company, is seeking a Firewall Administrator to join their team in Charlotte, NC. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, and operation of next-generation firewall technologies, as well as supporting project-based initiatives and incident troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
Perform day-to-day firewall policy administration and maintenance
Maintain security frameworks across the enterprise
Participate in cybersecurity projects and initiatives
Document work performed and maintain up-to-date security infrastructure documentation
Proactively identify and recommend solutions for potential security issues
Respond to incidents in a timely manner and participate in on-call rotation duties
Configure, install, and maintain security hardware, including deploying code upgrades
Troubleshoot and investigate service disruption events
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls and Cisco ASA firewalls
Relevant certifications such as PCCET, PCNSA, Cisco CCNA, or CompTIA Security+/Network+
Strong understanding of TCP/IP communications, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and SMB
Network administration/support experience in a large enterprise network
Experience with network monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting
