Responsibilities

Be an integral part of a “concept-to-customer” design team launching new low-power electronic products every year and sustaining and improving existing designs
Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments
Use advanced techniques in the application of theories and practices of electrical engineering disciplines to complete assignments
Evaluate technologies for suitability to current and future product development goals
Work on major projects and/or several projects of moderate scope with complex features
Design electronic circuitry using embedded MCU hardware, digital and analog sensors, USB, CAN, I2C and SPI communications protocols
Work within limitations of low-power, battery-operated devices
Design hardware containing BLE, GPS, Wifi and Cell modules for RF coexistence
Debug circuit designs to the board level
Design for EMC compliance and other international compliance standards such as for intrinsic safety
Carefully follow operational and documentation standards

Required

4-year BS degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant engineering specialty or equivalent training, certifications or experience
7+ years of experience in design and development of electronic products including circuit design and board layout
Experience in evaluating technologies for applicability and suitability
Experience with low-power wireless data transfer (BT, BTLE, Zigbee, ANT+, 6LoPAN)
Demonstrated knowledge of proper RF hardware design required to use modular BLE, GPS, Wifi, Cell and similar radio technologies
Experience choosing components/designing hardware for low power battery operated devices
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and methods to perform professional engineering functions
Fluent in written and spoken English
Expert in Altium Designer Schematic and PCB layout tools

Preferred

Experience working with embedded ARM microprocessor devices – including reference designs and development kits
Understanding of common hardware/software components required to transfer data from iOT devices to cloud infrastructure
Knowledge of agile approaches to product development
Master's degree or other advanced certifications
