Responsibilities
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and layouts
Provide engineering support to manufacturing operations and resolve production issues
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve process and product issues
Support new product introductions, including process development, tooling, and documentation
Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Support capital equipment projects, including justification, selection, and implementation
Identify areas of improvement in manufacturing operations
Recommend and implement changes to safety procedures, work methods, and labor standards Work with existing facilities on productivity improvement projects
Initiates and/or manages cost reductions and improvement projects
Identify areas to reduce waste in all manufacturing processes, focusing on process improvements using LEAN methodology
Responsible for planning, organizing, scheduling, and reporting as necessary to complete assignments
Work to resolve issues, improve quality, reduce customer complaints and ensure consistent quality
Maintain 2D CAD plant layouts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields
Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in process engineering; automotive industry highly preferred
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA analysis tools
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials used in automotive components
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment
