Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, labs, offices, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity
Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems, and report unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts
Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, checking government-issued identification, and processing visitors per site procedures
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disturbances, and policy violations
Complete security-related reports and daily activity logs with clear, accurate details, and promptly escalate issues through the chain of command
Support protection of restricted and controlled areas by confirming authorization, challenging unknown persons as appropriate, and coordinating escorts when required
Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, and visitors, providing directions and service while maintaining post orders
Assist with emergency actions such as evacuation support, accountability checks, and coordination with local responders as directed by site procedures
Perform additional duties as assigned consistent with the post profile and location requirements
Qualification
Required
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience
Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire
