Group Director, MarTech Enablement & Digital Products
ECCO Select is seeking a Group Director for Martech Enablement & Digital Products who will act as a senior partner within a large-scale digital organization. The role focuses on ensuring effective use of marketing and digital platforms to address business and customer challenges, translating strategic priorities into actionable frameworks for product, engineering, and marketing teams.

Responsibilities
Maintain a deep working understanding of the organization’s digital and martech ecosystem, including customer engagement platforms, content management systems, front-end frameworks, custom APIs, commerce and service flows, and supporting data sources
Guide how platforms are selected, configured, and used to support business priorities, customer journeys, and brand outcomes, avoiding tool-driven or ad hoc decisions
Establish architecture-informed decision frameworks that clarify tradeoffs across build, extend, and integrate scenarios
Ensure business, brand, and customer objectives are explicitly reflected in: Platform usage patterns and integration approaches, Data flows, decisioning logic, and automation triggers, Communication orchestration and arbitration rules
Translate strategic intent into practical principles and guardrails that inform day-to-day product and platform decisions, rather than static reference architectures
Partner with customer experience, marketing, and technology teams to optimize communication decisioning and arbitration logic, ensuring interactions are relevant, compliant, scalable, and outcome-driven
Identify opportunities to enable workflow automation, decision automation, and emerging agentic capabilities within existing platforms, applying them selectively to improve efficiency, speed, or decision quality across digital products and service flows
Evaluate how data, content, decisioning, and automation work together across custom customer acquisition and service experiences
Work closely with product, engineering, and development teams to align experience design with platform and delivery realities
Establish shared principles, standards, and ways of working that enable effective collaboration across headless CMSs, custom services, front-end frameworks, and automation layers
Enable teams to make faster, better-informed platform decisions without creating central bottlenecks or unnecessary dependencies
Lead or contribute to digital product, platform, and communications assessments to identify opportunities to improve tools, workflows, governance, and automation readiness
Partner with internal teams to pilot and scale automation or agentic approaches where they deliver measurable value — without introducing unnecessary complexity or risk
Transfer knowledge, frameworks, and digital product and martech fluency to internal teams to support long-term capability building
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in martech strategy, digital platform enablement, digital product ecosystems, or enterprise technology consulting
Demonstrated experience operating within custom-built, API-driven, and headless digital ecosystems, rather than exclusively packaged platforms
Deep understanding of communication orchestration and decisioning systems (e.g., enterprise customer engagement platforms)
CMS platforms such as Adobe AEM, Drupal, or equivalent, including headless implementations
API-based integrations, data flows, and modern front-end frameworks
Familiarity with automation and agentic concepts (e.g., decision automation, orchestration, AI-assisted workflows) and the judgment to apply them selectively within enterprise platforms
Proven ability to partner with engineering and architecture teams without acting as a hands-on developer or system owner
Strong systems thinker able to frame complex technical environments in terms of business value, customer outcomes, and brand impact
Familiarity with human-centered design and/or design thinking methodologies for improving digital products and customer experiences
Executive presence with experience influencing senior business, marketing, and technology leaders
Ability to translate complex platform, product, and data concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical audiences
