Business Development Manager

Elevate Talent Solutions is a business consulting and training company seeking a Business Development Manager to launch and grow a new staffing sales operation. This role focuses on developing new client relationships and expanding business within a defined territory, while establishing a strong local market presence.

Responsibilities

Drive new business development through consistent B2B outbound sales activity, including cold calling, in-person visits, and follow-up
Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline within Essex and Passaic Counties
Conduct discovery conversations to understand client needs, workforce challenges, and business goals
Partner closely with internal recruiting teams to ensure clear communication and successful execution
Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and client data in CRM systems

Required

Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or outbound prospecting roles
Experience cold calling and proactive outreach techniques as part of a sales process
Ability to manage a territory, prioritize activity, and stay disciplined with follow-through
Designing solutions that build partnerships, not just supplier relationships
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience documenting activity and managing data accurately in a CRM or sales system
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide documentation verifying eligibility for employment
Must possess a valid and current driver's license and have access to a reliable personal vehicle for business purposes daily

Preferred

Background in inside sales, account development, or consultative selling
Experience transitioning from phone-based sales to field-based relationship building
Familiarity with small to mid-sized business environments
Exposure to professional services, staffing, or solutions-based sales
