Design Build Senior Project Manager (PE)

DRMP is seeking a motivated Design-Build Senior Project Manager to contribute to the growth of their Alternative Delivery Team. The role involves leading multi-discipline engineering teams for the delivery of major transportation infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
Lead the development of design and construction plans in collaboration with engineering and construction teams
Identify and mitigate project risks
Maintain project schedules and budgets
Assemble and lead high-performing multi-discipline project teams, including engineers, designers, and subconsultants
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members
Effectively communicate with clients, staff, management, and owner agencies
Build and maintain strong relationships as the primary contact for construction clients and owner agencies
Manage client expectations and ensure client satisfaction
Responsible for design-build pursuits in collaboration with contractor partners
Manage project contracts, including change orders, claims, and dispute resolution
Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
Manage subcontractor relationships and performance
Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budgets and deadlines
Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet design and construction standards
Identify and resolve quality issues

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina
Minimum of 10 years of experience in highway infrastructure design
Proven experience in design project management, preferably for design-build projects
5+ years of NCDOT DB experience
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
