7+ years expP9 Cloud Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to serve as an advanced-level subject matter expert for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). The DBA will be responsible for designing, securing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise databases that support large volumes of mission-critical business data.

Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of SQL Server database administration , including schema management, security, installations, upgrades, patching, backup and recovery, space management, performance tuning, and capacity planning
Support application teams by enhancing, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning database solutions
Administer SQL Server databases across Production, Test, and Development environments
Provide database support within Microsoft SharePoint environments
Install, configure, test, and deploy SQL Server Always On high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions
Develop and implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans
Monitor database performance and recommend tuning and application improvements
Implement and manage database security, user authentication, and access controls
Review system designs and develop new database solutions as required
Modify database structures and deploy schema changes to support new business requirements
Develop scripts for batch data loads and job automation
Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, governance, and best practices
Provide technical leadership and mentoring when required
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server Administration
Expertise in SQL Server Always On
Performance tuning and optimization
Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Experience supporting enterprise applications and SharePoint environments
Strong scripting and automation skills
Solid understanding of database security and authentication
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution
7+ years of experience supporting database management systems or related technologies
Local candidates only (Metro Atlanta area)
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
Working knowledge of Cohesity Backup Appliance
Exposure to Cloud technologies and data governance
Experience in large enterprise or government environments
