Responsibilities

Assisting clients with scheduling appointments and conducting in-office meetings
Soliciting information from clients and maintaining detailed records
Assisting with the purchase of services and equipment for clients
Maintaining current knowledge on a wide variety of vocational rehabilitation services, including employment opportunities, medical resources, training/education opportunities and other rehabilitation-related subjects
Providing paraprofessional administrative and technical support to counselors and evaluators by performing routine, on-going assignments which focus on carrying out substantive technical aspects of vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities

Required

High school graduation or the equivalent
One year of experience performing a variety of office clerical assignments of average difficulty or performing specialized complex clerical work. This experience is met by service as an Administrative Clerk 2, Accounting Clerk 2, or Administrative Clerk 3 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer
One academic year of education from an accredited college
One year of entry level experience, learning to provide direct technical and administrative support in the delivery of vocational rehabilitation services. This experience is met by service as a Vocational Rehabilitation Assistant 1 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer
One academic year of education from an accredited college
This recruitment is open to Alaska Residents only. Applicants must meet Alaska Residency Requirements in order to be considered for employment at this time
