The EH&S Intern will support workplace safety and environmental compliance programs while gaining hands-on experience in a public water utility.

Responsibilities
Assist the EH&S staff with environmental, health & safety programs and initiatives
Support compliance activities related to Cal/OSHA, environmental regulations, and CCWD policies
Help collect, organize, and analyze safety and environmental compliance data
Participate in safety inspections, field observations, and audits (as appropriate)
Assist with training materials, presentations, and documentation
Support incident reporting, program tracking, and recordkeeping
Collaborate with staff across Operations & Maintenance and Engineering teams
Qualification
Required
Current enrollment or a recent graduate of an accredited college, university, or educational institution program in planning, environmental planning, environmental science, natural resources, biological sciences, and/or other related fields
A positive and motivated individual who enjoys learning and asking questions along the way
Someone who values teamwork and open communication
Someone eager in gaining real-world experience in environmental compliance and workplace health & safety
Preferred
Full-time or part-time during Spring 2026, and/or
Full-time during Summer 2026
