Responsibilities
Design, program, and debug PLC and HMI systems for automated manufacturing equipment
Configure and support motion control, servo drives, sensors, actuators, and safety systems
Lead controls integration and commissioning of new automation and robotic cells
Modify and improve existing controls code to increase uptime and process stability
Partner closely with mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve complex issues
Support NPI and production ramp-ups, ensuring controls systems are robust and production-ready
Apply root cause analysis and continuous improvement to eliminate recurring controls-related downtime
Qualification
Required
A strong background in controls engineering or industrial automation
Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
Solid understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes
Comfort working directly on the shop floor, commissioning and debugging live equipment
Ownership mindset — seeing issues through from fault to fully validated fix
Degree or technical qualification in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering
3–7+ years experience in controls, automation, or manufacturing engineering
Preferred
PLC platforms: Allen-Bradley / Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, or similar
HMI development and industrial networking
Motion control and servo systems
Exposure to robot integration (ABB, FANUC, Universal Robots, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
