Supported Housing Specialist - CADC (Part to Full Time)

Yamhill County is seeking a Supported Housing Specialist to provide on-site treatment and recovery support for adults in transitional housing settings. Responsibilities

Provide on-site treatment and recovery support in five transitional housing and day treatment settings for adult men and women with children
Monitor compliance, including abstinence testing through monitored urine screening
Provide assistance/input in case treatment planning for clients in short-term housing
Deliver case management and skills training services to assist residents in linking and accessing services and obtaining and maintaining entitlements
Promote hope, personal responsibility, and self-advocacy while providing education and case management services to assist adults in the development of healthy lifestyles and strengthening their parenting skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field
At least one year of experience in a setting relevant to the duties and skills
Appropriate combination of education and experience may be substituted for degree
Must also meet QMHA requirements per State Medicaid rule and have the ability to obtain certification as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) upon hire
Must have a current CADC certificate, or the ability to obtain one within one year of starting
Must have an NPI number or the ability to obtain one upon employment
Will be subject to successful completion of a background check
Must not be excluded from participation in federal health care programs (Medicaid, Medicare, and other federally funded programs that provide health benefits); and
Must not be excluded from participation in federal procurement (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and non-procurement activities (Executive Order No. 12549)

Preferred

Experience in Evidence-Based Practices, substance abuse treatment, criminality, and trauma-informed care
Working knowledge of community behavioral health
Ability to engage with and understand the behavior of people under stress
Ability to develop collaborative relationships with clients, their families, physicians, law enforcement agencies, the courts, public and private administrators, Certified Recovery Mentors, and the community in general
Ability to interpret community mental health and chemical dependence services
Ability to prepare concise, complete clinical documentation, and other data recording
Excellent communication and listening skills
Computer proficiency
Dependable, self-directed, detail-oriented
Ability to work in a team environment and to interact with co-workers, clients, and the public in a courteous, professional manner
Excellent personal boundaries and organizational skills
Ability to adhere to strict timelines
