Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day leadership and hands-on coaching to managers across operational functions
Champion a high-accountability culture rooted in clear expectations, consistent feedback, and a “lead by example” mindset
Foster an engaged, collaborative workplace culture that values ownership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
Lead departmental meetings and participate in company-wide leadership discussions
Oversee all day-to-day operations across production, scheduling, shipping/receiving, inventory, purchasing, and maintenance operations
Identify and remove operational roadblocks and lead continuous improvement initiatives that reduce complexity, eliminate waste, and streamline/automate workflows
Translate company goals into team-level execution plans that deliver on key performance metrics
Champion standard work: ensure processes are clearly defined, communicated, and continuously refined
Leverage data to proactively identify issues, unlock efficiencies, and empower better decision-making at all levels
Drive long-term capacity planning, including layout optimization, labor strategy, and capital project development
Contribute to company-wide strategy by participating in quarterly and annual leadership planning, goal-setting, and cross-functional alignment efforts
Ensure operations scales with intention, resilience, and agility with growth demands
Partner with finance and executive leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and ROI-driven investment decisions
Participate in execution for new product launches, facility changes, or equipment upgrades
Qualification
Required
7+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in manufacturing or distribution
Passion for cultivating a strong, healthy workplace culture rooted in organizational core values
Hands-on and results-oriented leadership style—comfortable walking the floor and coaching at all levels
Strong systems and process mindset—can balance tactical execution with long-term improvements
ERP fluency (Epicor preferred), Lean/CI knowledge, ISO 9001 familiarity, and understanding of operational KPIs
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners
